I read Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson for 25 minutes. I chose this book because I had just read Moby Dick and I was in the mood for an adventure so I chose to read this book. When I read Treasure Island I learned that the main character Jimmy was forced to come on an adventure and leave his family behind for a treasure hunt and to be protected because he had a price for his head. This made me think about a time when my brother was after me and I had to hide from him.

I read How to eat Fried Worms by Thomas Rockwell for 20 minutes. I chose this book because for summer reading I read a murder mysterie, so I thought I should read something fun and childish. While I was reading this I found out that the main charecter (Billy) made a bet for $50 to eat 15 worms in fifteen days. His father found out about it and tried to stop them, but Billy's didn't want to die from Joe's (the bully) death punch in the 8th grade. This event made me remember of when me and my older brother made gross bets with eachother.

I read Hidden Love a fanfic, for 20 minutes. I chose this book because I was in the mood to read about drama action and love. When I read this book I learned that there are two main characters who seek to find an island. They had found an island and decided to explore the wonders of the island but had also found out the dangers of it too. This reminds of the time when my family and I went island hopping on summer.

I read a magazine all about Rollercoasters. It is called ACE Magazine. ACE stands for American Coaster Enthusiast which is a club I'm in. Anyways, a read about all the new Rollercoasters in the US that opened this year. Some of the rollercoaster were Lightning Rod, Valravn, The New Revolution, The Joker at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, The Joker at Six Flags Great Adventure, GhostRider at Knott's Berry Farm, and Mako at Sea World Orlando. I like reading things that interest me so I don't get bored while reading. I learned about all of the stats of he new rides, any difficulties they had, and setbacks the parks had with their new attractions. This makes me think about the new rides coming to Six Flags parks in 2017, which will be announced on September 1st. 😁

I read a book called Eight Keys by Suzanne Lafleur. I chose this book because I like to read adventure books and this book is showing an adventure about to happen. I learned that some times you can think school is going to be bad because bullies are there but you have to believe that you can survive. This book makes me think about some other schools that could have bullies, so I believe that I can just be myself and just do what I can do if someone bullies me or anyone else.

I read "Uglies" by Scott Westerfield for 20 minutes. I chose this book because ever since I saw this book on the summer reading list, I have been wanting to read it. Because I chose a different piece of literature for my summer reading, this book was my choice for the assignment. In this book, I learned that the main character Tally wants to see her friend Peris. The thing is that Peris is pretty, while Tally is ugly. I also learned that Peris is three months older than Tally and that Tally really wants to turn pretty. This makes me think about how I want to be taller so I am not always feeling left out because I am small.

I read "The Angel Experiment" by James Patterson for 20 minutes. I read this book because the name of the book sounded like something tragic was going to happen. What I learnt from reading 20 minutes of the book is that you have to try your hardest at things, even if it seems impossible to accomplish. Sometimes, it makes me think about not finishing assignments on time, but i do my best even if it seems that i won't be able to finish the assignment on time.

I read a manga for 22 minutes. You may not know what this is so I will tell you. It is basically a Japanese comic book with English translations. The reason why I chose to read this is because I don't want to waste my time reading something I automatically know I'm not interested in. Before I continue I need to tell you that I love anime. Before the anime is even created there is a manga behind the whole anime series. In other words the manga is the original story. The manga that I chose to read today was Fairy Tail. This anime series ended this year in spring, I was very sad. So, I decided to read the manga to see what are the differences between the anime and the manga. Anyways that about wraps up what I read for these 22 or so minutes.

I read "Sisters" by Raina Telgemeier for 20 minutes. I chose this particular piece of literature because I really like the book so I decided to reread it again. I learned that Raina, the main character, has always wanted a sister but she completely regrets that after her mom has one. She was so excited until she found out the responsibilities and things she had to deal with her new sister. They named her Amara and she is very bratty and annoying. Raina and Amara also always argue when things don't go their way. This makes me think about the times where my sister and I argue about the littlest things but I know we still love each other in the end.

I read "The Secret Language of Sisters" for 30 minutes. I chose this book because i started the book a long time ago and forgot about it. I am trying to finish it. What I learned was Roo has locked-in syndrome and the only way she can communicate was by moving her left eye up. Her family and friends thought she couldn't hear them when they visit her in the hospital, but she hears everything. This made me think of all the different ways we communicate. There are endless ways we can communicate with each other.

I read "The Maze Runner" by James Dashner for 20 minutes. I chose this particular piece of literature because I watched the movie but I did not read the true story. What I learned about reading the story is that a boy named Thomas wakes up in an elevator with no memory at all other than that his name is Thomas. The next day, a girl comes from the elevator and everyone is surprised since the only people going down the elevator were boys. She was the last person to come from the elevator, strange things started to happen when she came down, there was no more sun, there are walls that stay open at night but are usually closed to protect the kids from creatures known as Grievers. They are trapped in the vicinity that they are kept in and need to make a run for it. They later escape the maze and are later rescued. This book makes me think that there is another way to do something.

I read the book "Gulliver's Travels" by Jonathan Swift for 20 minutes. I chose this book because I have read so much adventurous books, but I haven't read this one before. I learned that if you are on a boat with your crew, think about their safety more than yours. This book makes be think of the book "Treasure Island". I have read this book many times and I thought that they had many similarities that I can't even name all of them.

I read Diary of a Wimpy Kid Old School By Jeff Kinney. I choose this book because other than it was the only book on my shelf, it looked really interesting. I learned that life back when our parents were kids it was a lot different. Mainly they didn't have tv they only had books. It makes me think about how times have changed and how back then you could read a book or go outside but now you can go on your device, watch tv or go on social media.

I read Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech for 20 minutes. The reason that I chose this book is because when I was I was looking at books for my book report at the end of last year, I saw this book and it caught my attention. I was not able to read it at the end of the school year, but I am glad I can now. I learned that the main character, Salamanca Tree Hiddle had to move from Bybanks, Kentucky to a house in Euclid, Ohio. Her mom past away a few years before and she is telling a story about the story she told her grandparents on the way to visit Salamanca's (Sal's) mom. This literature makes me think about how quickly one's life can change. For example, in this book, Sal's mom died, then she has to go on a six day road trip with her grandparents that she did not want to go on, and lastly she has to move to Ohio from her safe home in Kentucky.

I read "United As One". I chose this book because I read the other 6 books in the Lorien Legacies series. This book made me think about losing people l love because John (the main character) loses his girlfriend. He is very depressed and also very mad at Setrakas Ra because he killed John's girlfriend. This book also makes me think about destruction and how we need to take care of our planet because the Mogadorians didn't and they are trying to take over a different planet to live on. This also makes me think about how we should be grateful and not greedy because the Mogadorians are and they "regenerate" their body parts but their bdy parts aren't real.

I read the book "Thing Explainer", by Randall Munroe. It's a collection of complicated things explained in simple words. The challenge was to explain very complicated subjects, using only the 10,000 most used words in the English language. This quote explains it best; "If you cannot explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough." For example, batteries becomes "power boxes" International Space Station becomes "shared space house", and tectonic plates becomes "big flat rocks we live on". I read this book to see the contents of our every day language, and get a good laugh to see someone try to only use them.

I read Percy Jackson and the sea of monsters for 20 minutes. So far I've been introduced to Percy and his friend Grover. We start out in a dream were Grover gets here and Percy does what any normal person would do, help him. Then he wakes up with his sword ( riptide) ( who names their sword?) drawn. Then I stopped (I may have missed a few details). I chose this book because I've read the first book and loved it. I learned that Percy sleeps with a sword under his pillow? This makes me think that he maybe dilliosional.

I read "Wishing Day" By: Lauren Myracle. I chose this piece of literature because this book is about a girl named Natasha, and how on her wishing day (her birthday) she makes three wishes, the One impossible wish, One wish the wisher could make come true herself, and finally the deepest wish of her secret heart. This book I really am loving because it reminds me of Aladdin and his three wishes! I learned that in Natasha's family from long long time ago that you can have three wishes at the wishing tree instead of only one wish on your birthday with a cake.

I read "Smile" by Raina Telgemeier for 20 minutes. I chose this particular piece of literature because I love this book. "Smile" is very interesting and fun to read. I learned many things about Raina, the main character. After a Girl Scout meeting, Raina tripped while playing with her friends. Raina tripped, and broke her two front teeth. Both teeth came out, and Raina embarks on a journey with braces. It was very hard for her because she had to wear fake teeth, and she had to take care of her teeth while dealing with a few friend situations. This book makes me think about the ups and downs people have when it comes to life. It makes me think that no one is perfect, and that we all go through hard times.

I read the book "A Mighty Long way" by Carlotta walls LaNier. This book so far has been pretty good, it's about the little rock 9, but more specifically Carlotta Walls LaNier, who was one of the youngest members of the little rock 9, which was the integration of central high school back in the 1950's. When a group of 9 black students tried to enter a white central high school people started throwing things at them, and yelling, and spitting on them, And after that happened the governor of Arkansa (the school was in Arkansa) told the police of little rock, that they had to forbid the 9 black students from even entering the school, which i thought was crazy! And nowadays it would be......Crazy.........Anyway thats where i stopped reading, So thats what book i read to day.

I read the book Twenty Thousnad Leagues Under the Sea for twenty minutes. I started reading, and it got very interesting with their idea of making little countries under water. I like the submarine that they're in. It can go down very far into the ocean. The crew is seeing new species every single day. They have over 20,000 countries also known as leagues. I learned that I should explore. After I read this I thought about how much more is there. This book was written by Jule Verne.

I read The Greatest Muhammad Ali by Walter Dean Myers for 25 minutes. I chose this book because Muhammad Ali recently died so I wanted to read about him. I learned that when Cassius Clay (Muhammad Ali) was 12 years old he rode his bike to the Columbia Auditorium in Louisville to watch a show. Once the show was over his bike was gone. He immediately reported that his bike was missing and that when he sees anyone with his bike he's going to knock that person out. When he got older he never saw that bike again. He went to the gym now and often and became in love with fighting so he took it very seriously.

I read a book about cats, called Warriors, Forest of Secrets. I chose this book for two reasons; One, because I've already read the first two books in the series, and two, because I love cats (I've made it pretty clear). In the book, there are four clans of cats. Three of the clans share the forest, and the last clan lives in the uplands, close to the forest. By reading these, I've learned a cat's perspective of us and our actions, and more importantly, I've learned about the awesome abilities of cats! This book, of course, makes me think of GINGER!!!

What I read for 20 minutes was Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I chose this particular price of literature because Harry Potter has always been very intresting to me. It has both adventure, drama, mischief, and excitement. What I learned from the book is that some people do bad things because they try to protect the ones they love or have left. I said this because Sirius Black tried to kill Peter Pettigrew only because he sold out Harrry's mother and father, who was Black's best friend. This book made me think of how Sirius was thinking about Harry's safety before his own, making it look like he killed Peter by will. He was just avenging his friend and Harry's parents.

I read the book called "Roller Girl" by Victoria Jamieson for 20 minuets. I chose this piece of literature because I love to read comics. In these 20 minuets, I read 5 chapter and in these chapters, the main character is introduced, Astrid. She is in fifth grade, going into middle school. Nicole and Astrid are best friends, well, they used to be best friends. It all started when Astrid's mother took her and Nicole to a Roller Derby, now wants to be just like her idol, Rainbow Bite, and roller skate. There is a boot camp for roller skating and Astrid wants to go with her best friend, Nicole. Nicole never said yes to going to roller skating boot camp with Astrid and she wants to go the Dance Camp instead. The two keep going further and further away from each other as the don't see each other as often anymore. This make me think about that when you make friends, you need to have a little empathy and you can't always be with them. They sometimes need space to them selves and want to follow their own dreams.
