The difference between "few" and "little" is how and where you use them. For example, you use "few, fewer, and fewest" to compare concrete nouns. Concrete nouns can be counted, seen, and touched (ex: pencil, apple, chair, etc.). Also, you use "little, less, and least" to compare abstract nouns. Abstract nouns cannot be counted, seen, nor touched (ex: happiness, anger, strength, etc.).
